Nord & Smith Brings Data-Driven OOH to Bali, Exhibiting and Speaking at Asia Pacific Media Forum 2026

Nord & Smith, Indonesia’s data-driven out-of-home (OOH) media agency, joined the Asia Pacific Media Forum (APMF) 2026 in Bali from 5 to 7 August as an exhibitor, bringing a real campaign case study to the show floor and taking the stage to talk about the future of outdoor advertising.
APMF 2026 gathered media leaders, marketers, and industry practitioners from across the region to discuss where media is heading next. For Nord & Smith, the forum was an opportunity to show, not just tell, why OOH still deserves a serious seat at that conversation.
A Booth Built Around a Real Campaign
Rather than showcasing OOH in the abstract, Nord & Smith brought a finished case study to their exhibitor booth: Bakso Gepeng Mas Slamet, a campaign the agency ran in 2025. Visitors who stopped by got more than a pitch. They got the actual product. Nord & Smith flew in bakso gepeng straight from Cipete for attendees to try, alongside branded merchandise and drinks handed out throughout the three days.
The approach reflected the same principle Nord & Smith brings to its campaign work: OOH performs best when it gives people something to experience, not just something to look at. Turning the booth into a taste of the campaign itself made the case study tangible in a way a slide deck never could.

CEO Kavindra Airlangga Takes the Stage
On 7 August, Nord & Smith CEO Kavindra Airlangga spoke at APMF 2026 with a session titled “Turning a 2,000-Year-Old Medium into an Attention Machine.”
The talk explored how data, creativity, and measurement are converging to push OOH beyond its traditional role as a passive placement channel. Kavindra walked the audience through how Nord & Smith approaches outdoor advertising as a full-funnel channel, one that can be planned with precision, executed with strategic creative, and measured for real business impact, rather than treated as a one-off brand awareness buy.
The session tied directly into the story on display at the booth. Bakso Gepeng Mas Slamet served as a live example of what happens when an OOH campaign is built on data from the start and designed to travel beyond the billboard itself.
Nord & Smith also turned the session itself into an experience. A handful of empty bakso bowls were placed under random seats before the talk began. Attendees who found one under their chair walked away with more than a surprise: they could claim a free bakso party for their entire office. It was a small gacha moment that mirrored the same idea Kavindra was making on stage, that a good OOH campaign, and a good room, rewards the people who are paying attention.

Three Days, One Message
Between the booth and the stage, Nord & Smith’s presence at APMF 2026 made the same point from two different angles: OOH is one of the oldest advertising mediums in the world, and it still has room to become one of the most measurable. From site selection to creative execution to post-campaign accountability, Nord & Smith continues to position itself as the partner helping brands in Indonesia and beyond treat outdoor media as a channel they can plan, prove, and optimize with the same rigor as any digital platform.
